About the Practice
For over 35 years our highly qualified, compassionate physicians have been successfully treating patients who suffer from painful conditions or restricted mobility due to disease or injury.
Dr. James Rae, the former chair of the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department at the University of Michigan, came to Traverse City in the early 1970s with the goal of expanding physical medicine and rehabilitation services to Northern Michigan. As a result, Physical Medicine Associates was established in partnership with Munson Medical Center in 1979. We moved to our current location on West Royal Drive in 2002
